Vinny's Little Italy - Restaurant Impossible Update

On this week's episode of Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Boulder City, Nevada to makeover Vinny's Little Italy.  Vinny's Little Italy is a pizza restaurant where the owner Vinny is stuck in his ways and refuses to listen to his family or staff.  He may lose everything if he doesn't commit to changes that Robert Irvine will suggest to make his restaurant up-to-date.

As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Vinny's Little Italy to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):

Positive Reviews:

• "The Chicago style pizza was excellent. Their regular pizza was excellent also. Be prepared to wait, not a real big place, but it's worth it"
• "The new look is fun and colorful, the service is always great, but these artichokes will keep bringing you back for more. Love it."
• "Vinny's food was excellent! We had Stromboli and fettuccine alfredo, salad. Tina was friendly and informative. Nice selection on the menu. Decor great, too. When in Boulder City area, don't miss this great restaurant!!"
• "Met some friends for dinner. The food was amazing and plentiful. My son and I both ordered the Stromboli and we each took some home. If you're in the area, it is worth a stop."
• "I have ordered from here many times, but this was the first time going in. What a wonderful staff! Went above and beyond and with smiles. Still great pizza like in the past. Great job, just another reason I recommend this wonderful eatery."
• "From the time we walked through the door to the time we left, we were welcomed with smiles and amazing service. It is a very comfortable and quaint restaurant with a great Italian feel. We were introduced to a very good sized specials menu that was newly released from the hit TV show restaurant impossible. We both tried the new menu items that were absolutely fantastic. There was a lot of locals there which is always a good sign. We will definitely be back to try some more items on the large menu"

Negative Reviews:

• "The place was Ok......Went there after we saw the Hoover Dam. Didn't know Vinny was Brothers with the Mama Cimino guy. Mama Cimino's on 310 east warm springs was the worst pie we have ever had. Vinny's was a litter better than Mama Cimino's"
• "I had high hopes that I wouldn't have to travel 20 miles for good pizza. The pizza is passable not great, but I got a chicken sandwich and a Childs fettuccine Alfredo that was not very good. Sauce was gelatinous on the pasta. Pizza is ok better than chain pizza but not great. The staff are really nice and take out was fast. I am sorry I cannot recommend this place there other places in Boulder that are so much better. Soggy crust, messy toppings, too much on a thin crust. Chicken sandwich is my biggest complaint the lettuce on top was not cut so it was easy to eat and the piece of chicken inside was over cooked and so dry we threw it away. I can definitely find a better way to spend over $70."
• "I was really looking forward to eating there. Salads had been prepped earlier in the day and were dry and unappetizing. Eggplant parmigiana was burnt and the spaghetti was swimming in sauce. Boulder City has a lot of great restaurants but you should pass on Vinnys"
• "Had the Italian beef sandwich which was way over cooked and dry even with the aujus. The pizza was just as bad, all of the ingredients were in the middle with just sauce on the edges. Decor leaves a lot to be desired. Window tinting peeling off one of the windows. Very bad experience won't be going back."
