The Breakfast Place - Restaurant Impossible Update

On this week's episode of Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in San Jose, California to makeover The Breakfast Place. The Breakfast Place is a breakfast restaurant owned by Mexican immigrants Cristina and Raquel.  They have been in the service industry for decades, but are currently struggling as owners of a restaurant.  Robert finds that the restaurant is uninspired, dirty and close to closing. He will need to help save their friendship and their restaurant before it is too late.

As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about The Breakfast Place to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):

Positive Reviews:

• "In an old strip mall. Doesn't look like much. But oh boy is the food great! They recently had a remodel and it looks much cuter inside than it used to. • "This place is the worst breakfast I've ever had $16 for eggs bacon and toast toast with cheap white bread sourdough eggs were small and cooked wrong potatoes were old and disgusting, The restaurant was terribly dirty!"
• "The seating location stank of sewage and bleach, the order took an exorbitant amount of time to arrive, the food portion size was puny for the excessive price, the food itself was tasteless, oily, greasy, and they had the gall to serve me BURNT bread. BURNT."

Conclusion:

The reviews for The Breakfast Place since the Restaurant Impossible visit are mostly positive with people liking the food, service, and staff. Many reviews refer to The Breakfast Place as a hidden gem and also talk about wanting to come back again.  The Breakfast Place doesn't have much of a presence online such as a website or menu to view, so they may want to do some updates on their Facebook page after appearing on the show.
