This week on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Waveland, Mississippi to makeover J's Restaurant. J's Restaurant is owned by friends Louis Fouquet and Jeff Bui and they are months away from losing everything including their 40-year friendship. Robert has to fix their relationship and teach them how to run a restaurant if they want to continue their business and friendship.
As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about J's Restaurant to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):
Positive Reviews:
- "Really good, had a party of 12 come in and the staff was amazing with us. Food was great"
- "This restaurant sits in a small shopping center..the exterior belies the cost and deliciousness of the food. I had the fried oyster platter and hubby had the combo seafood platter. We both had the gumbo which was very good. My oysters were great..fried to perfection. The only complaint hobby had about his seafood was it seemed it was all fried in the same batter. He had a side of onion rings that came home as he was too full to eat them. I had the sweet potato fries..very good. I would give 5 stars except for price. We both had a beer and our bill was over 70.00..I would go back and get something less pricey.."
- "The best in town nothing beats hot fresh food"
- "Amazing staff, great food. Prepared just right."
- "Haven't been here in years and it was wonderful!! One of the best steaks I've ever eaten and the staff was excellent!!"
- "We loved everything! Food, service, decor, and very clean!"
Negative Reviews:
- "Food is good. Waitress are always awesome. But don’t trust the hours of operation. Very unreliable. They constantly close early and they already close at 8 pm. So unless you are a super early eater or they are packed you won’t get dinner."
- "I was so excited about eating here but was very disappointed.. food came out quick yes but was not fresh ..and the food was cooked wrong I hope management can upgrade the quality"
