Tonight on Restaurant: Impossible, Robert Irvine and his crew are in Port Jervis, New York to Carmine's Chianti Cow. Carmine's Chianti Cow is an Italian restaurant owned by Keith O'Connor and his restaurant has an identity crisis. He is still serving the same food as the previous owners and Robert needs to reignite Keith's passion before it has to close.
During the makeover the restaurant ditched the Carmine's in the name and now goes by the name Chianti Cow. As I normally do with Restaurant: Impossible episodes, I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Chianti Cow to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Robert Irvine visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Restaurant: Impossible):
Positive Reviews:
Negative Reviews:
Other News and Links:
Conclusion:
During the Restaurant Impossible makeover, Carmine's Chianti Cow was renamed to just Chianti Cow and they have kept the name. There haven't been too many reviews since the makeover and the ones that are available lean towards positive. People seem to like the atmosphere and the makeover while the reviews about the food are mixed.

Positive Reviews:
- "Very rustic decor. Such a cute and quaint restaurant. The customer service was top notch. The burger was delicious and so juicy messy! But cooked perfectly. I had an Israeli couscous steak salad and the flavors were delightful and fresh. The chef himself even came out to check on us. All desserts were amazing. We will return!"
- "The food was ok ...had bratwurst, knocker wursts, potato pancake, sliced pork roast, beets and sauerkraut..plus bread...had plenty to eat! Had a group of friends join us! Lots of young people..good to see everyone enjoying themselves! Live entertainment...not the greatest! Music was too overwhelming...had to leave earlier than expected! This was our second time there...always plenty of food to eat! Wish the music was better!"
- "Was a little hesitant when we got there because of the very limited menu. The wait was a little long but well worth it in the end. The food was excellent with decent sized portions. Would definitely go there again."
- "First-rate atmosphere and very attentive service. The menu was crisp and delicious. Will clearly recommend this place to my friends. Convenient prices and big meals. Keep it up."
Negative Reviews:
- "Last week a group of 6 tried Chianti Cow. The service was good . Restaraunt was nicely decorated. Ordered crab cakes and was dissatisfied. 3 tiny cakes with mostly filler. Overpriced and under seasoned. We tried the Strip Steak. Too much fat. Should have been trimmed and also under seasoned. Burgers looked good but tasted like frozen meat. Desert was rice pudding but the rice was still crunchy."
- "Turn up the heat. Burrrrr. Food was just okay. Service poor. Disappointed."
- "Probably the worst imitation of a restaurant I've ever had the misfortune of stepping into. Their online menu is not what they actually serve. Food is poorly done and served cold. I wouldn't take my dog there to eat. "
