Food TV Icon Anthony Bourdain was found dead Friday morning in a Paris, France hotel. Anthony was in Paris filming an episode of CNN's Parts Unknown and his close friend Eric Ripert found him unresponsive in his hotel room Friday morning of an apparent suicide.
CNN released a statement regarding death, "It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain. His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time."
While Anthony Bourdain doesn't have a show on Food Network, he was often outspoken about personalities on the network such as Guy Fieri and Paula Deen. He had quite an impact on everybody in the food world including people on Food Network. Statements were made by pretty much everybody in the food industry and some of them are below:
It should be interesting to see what CNN does with the footage that they already filmed for Parts Unknown. RIP Anthony.

Anthony Bourdain was a chef contemporary, a friend and an icon for chefs as well as others around the world. He had a uniqueness that opened many worlds to many people through food and hospitality. It’s truly a sad day and my heart grieves for his family. Rest in peace Anthony. pic.twitter.com/FI65knn53P— Geoffrey Zakarian (@gzchef) June 8, 2018
A piece of my heart is truly broken this morning. And the irony, the sad cruel irony is that the last year he’d never been happier. The rest of my heart aches for the 3 amazing women he left behind.— Andrew Zimmern (@andrewzimmern) June 8, 2018
Tony was a symphony. I wish everyone could have seen all of him. A true friend.
Im so angry this morning. Life is fucking hard and crazy and Tony I love you. Im wearing your boots that I never wore because they were yours, and going to work. Everyone should hug some extra people today. My heart is heavy. https://t.co/2lFmz1UvWK pic.twitter.com/62Qcjwo33f— Andrew Zimmern (@andrewzimmern) June 8, 2018
