Food Network's February 2018 Programming Highlights

Here are some of the highlights of the Food Network programming scheduled to air on the channel in February:

  • A special Valentine's Day episode of Guy's Grocery Games on Sunday, February 11th where judges Damaris Phillips, Aarti Sequeira and Jet Tila bring their spouses into the competition.

Beat Bobby Flay

Premiering Thursday, February 1st at 10pm – “Bobby Gets Sacked”
Boston burger king Paul Malvone faces off against Twin City chef Jack Riebel on the gridiron. Food Network’s very own Eddie Jackson and Jaymee Sire decide which chef gets the chance to sack Bobby Flay.

Premiering Thursday, February 8th at 10pm – “Broken Hearts” – VALENTINE’S DAY EPISODE!
Love is in the air, but not for Bobby Flay when tough critics Anne Burrell and Scott Conant are in the house. Competition junkie and pastry chef Robert Nieto battles Brooklyn’s own Caroline Schiff for a chance to break Bobby’s heart.

Premiering Thursday, February 15th at 10pm – “Going Loco”
Buffalo chef Mike Andrzejewski and rural but refined chef Anthony Nelson arrive in the big city to duke it out. Food Network stars Eddie Jackson and Damaris Phillips will send the winner into the ring with Bobby Flay.

Premiering Thursday, February 22nd at 10pm – “Sour with the Sweet”
Barbecue fusion master Robert Cho and over-the-top Brian Malarkey are hungry for a win. The Kitchen’s Sunny Anderson and chef Josh Capon will be serving one of them up to Bobby Flay.

Premiering Sunday, February 4th at 11pm – “The Americas Cake Fair”
Pastry professionals from all over the world attend The Americas Cake Fair in Orlando, Florida. With over 10,000 attendees at this three-day event, creativity takes center stage as four teams compete in the 16th Annual Pillsbury Bakers’ Creative Cake Decorating Competition.

Premiering Sunday, February 4th at 11:30pm – “National Pie Championship”
Over 200 bakers from across the country gather in Orlando, Florida, for the American Pie Council’s National Pie Championships. From apple to pecan, the bakers make 800 pies hoping to be crowned “Best in Show” and win the top prize of $5,000.

Premiering Sunday, February 11th at 10pm – “Atlanta Burger Wars”
The Atlanta Burger Wars is a sizzling competition in the Southeast. Ten teams cook up their most unique and creative burgers in hopes of winning the grand prize of $5,000 dollars and a Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships.

Premiering Sunday, February 11th at 10:30pm – “Nebraska State BBQ Championship”
For the barbecue pit masters of the Midwest, the Riverfest State BBQ Championship in Bellevue, Nebraska, is the event to hit! Fifty teams camp out for this one-day event, rolling in their RVs, smokers, and grills to cook up their best barbecue dishes. Fifty Kansas City Barbecue Society judges will decide which team takes home the title of Grand Champion.

Premiering Sunday, February 18th at 10pm – “San Diego Mac N’ Cheese Fest”
Comfort food lovers flock to San Diego’s annual Mac N’ Cheese Fest to get a taste of the region’s cheesiest culinary talent. Chefs use their own signature ingredients to put gourmet twists on the cheesy dish, and the chef that comes out on top will earn the title of San Diego’s Best Gourmet Mac and Cheese.

Premiering Sunday, February 18th at 10:30pm- “San Diego Bacon Fest”
The 5th annual San Diego Bacon Fest features the best bacon-inspired dishes from renowned chefs. Bacon fanatics flock to this one-day event, eating everything from bacon cotton candy to bacon sushi. Twenty chefs compete for the title of Best Dish and a Golden Ticket that will advance them to the World Food Championships!

Premiering Sunday, February 25th at 10pm – “World’s Championship Shrimp Cook-Off”
It’s a shrimp frenzy at the 24th annual World’s Championship Shrimp Cook-Off in Port Isabel, Texas! Each year the best regional chefs come out to cook their signature shrimp dishes for thousands of hungry visitors while competing for the first-place prize.

Premiering Sunday, February 25th at 10:30pm – “South Beach Seafood Festival”
The South Beach Seafood Festival in Miami, Florida, heats up with excitement as the city’s top seafood chefs prepare for battle. Thousands of people will gather to cheer on their favorite seafood dish at this high-energy chef showdown, but the pressure is on when only one chef can be awarded the first-place prize.

Chopped

Premiering Tuesday, February 6th at 10pm – “Mardi Gras Goals”
Get ready for some culinary revelry as four New Orleans chefs take on a Mardi Gras competition! The baskets are packed with perennial NOLA favorites, including po’ boys in the appetizer round. The judges hope none of the competitors ruin the roux in the second basket, and a traditional cake and a boozy coffee challenge the final two chefs in dessert.

Premiering Tuesday, February 13th at 10pm – “Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate!” – VALENTINE’S DAY EPISODE!
The pastry experts battling it out in the Chopped Kitchen are excited to learn that they’ll be making candy, cake and ice cream in this all-desserts challenge. They face three rounds of chocolate, but an unwelcome, squirmy invader in the first basket threatens to dampen their enthusiasm. Round two has the chefs making ambitious baking plans that must include hummus, and some savory finds in the final basket challenge the remaining competitors to strike a flavor balance or risk being chopped.

Premiering Tuesday, February 20th at 10pm – “The Light Stuff”
Four fit chefs take on the challenge to cook creative, healthy dishes that are light on calories but big on flavor. A faux noodle and a beautiful fish fillet are two of the round one mystery ingredients, and the second round revolves around a diet drink and a protein-packed snack box. When both remaining chefs plan to use the ice cream machine for their acai berry powder desserts, there’s a chance someone will be left out in the cold when time runs out.

Premiering Tuesday, February 27th at 10pm – “Epic Eats”
In an indisputably indulgent competition, the chefs find that every basket contains at least one epic ingredient — an extreme example of something completely craveable. The appetizer basket brings them a big, bold marriage of two classic American comfort foods, and a savory cake is the showstopper in the entree round. A puzzling dessert basket reveals something gummy and something over-the-top yummy.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Premiering Friday, February 2nd at 9pm – “Bird and Beef”
Guy Fieri is traveling the country, digging into awesome poultry and beef. In Longmont, Colorado, there’s a fried chicken emporium serving up their specialty along with unique chicharrĂ³nes. In Dallas, Guy visits a meaty spot smoking up the duck and piling up the brisket. And in Phoenix, there’s a legit Mexican joint dishing out off-the-hook barbacoa and gorditas.

Premiering Friday, February 9th at 9pm – “All Kids of Comfort”
This trip, Guy Fieri is diving into all kinds of comfort cooking. In Phoenix, there’s a funky joint stacking up barbecue fries and putting a new spin on chilaquiles. In Boulder, Colorado, a pizza place loads up the pies and their meatball grinder. Plus, a Dallas spot cranks out all kinds of off-the-chain chicken.

Premiering Friday, February 23rd at 9pm – “Pub Grub”
This trip, Guy Fieri is grabbing all kinds of pub grub. Across the nation, he’s hitting up late-night haunts, taverns and brewpubs where killer kitchens back up the busy bars. They’re the joints where a drink pairs perfectly with an elevated menu that goes way beyond what you’d expect.

The Grill Dads

Premiering Friday, February 2nd at 9:30pm – “I Didn’t Know You Served That Here”
The Grill Dads continue their road trip on the hunt for outrageous food in surprising places. First up, the Basque Market in Boise, Idaho where they whip up a stunning and savory Spanish rice seafood paella. Next, they travel to Austin, Texas to one of the most unique Chinese dumpling houses in the country, Wu Chow, where Mark Anderson and Ryan Fey help make and devour adorable and delicious Chicken Bao buns. The last stop is in Seattle, Washington, for some original paprika-spiced chicken wings that literally tower over any other chicken wing out there. These Dads are hungry for Hungary!

Premiering Friday, February 9th at 9:30pm – “Outrageous Mashed-Up Munchies” – SEASON FINALE!
The Grill Dads prove that outrageous food is more fun when it’s a mash up. First up, the Doughnut Lounge in Kansas City, Missouri for delectable, homemade donuts that are paired with savory, crispy burnt ends from their in-house smoked brisket for a sweet and savory dessert that’s too unique to miss. Next up, Mark Anderson and Ryan Fey visit Albuquerque, New Mexico, to fry up a pastry called a Sopapilla that’s stuffed with spicy beef and pork ribs. Finally, it’s over to Denver, Colorado for chicken parmesan pizza, which has all the flavors and textures of a crispy, succulent chicken parmesan on top of a homemade pizza crust. Guy’s Grocery Games

Premiering Wednesday, February 7th at 9pm – “Sweet and Savory Duos”
Guy Fieri invites three teams of sweet and savory duos to put their chemistry to the test. First, they must make an all-American comfort dinner and dessert using items from a mandatory list provided by Guy. Then, the two remaining teams must make a steakhouse entree and dessert on a tight budget. Only one duo will get to shop Flavortown for up to $20,000.

Premiering Sunday, February 11th at 8pm – “GGG Judges and Their Spouses” – VALENTINE’S DAY EPISODE!
Three of GGG’s most beloved judges, Damaris Phillips, Aarti Sequeira and Jet Tila, bring their significant others to Flavortown for some friendly competition. In a round one game of trust, Guy Fieri asks the couples to shop together for a romantic dinner while one person wears a blindfold. Then Guy challenges the two remaining couples to fuse their favorite dishes, leaving the judges to decide which fusion is worth a $20,000 shopping spree.

Premiering Wednesday, February 14th at 9pm – “No-Shop Showdown”
For the first time in GGG history, none of the competing chefs get to shop for their ingredients. Instead, Guy Fieri gives them each a cart full of groceries that has to last all three rounds, and he decides what they make in each round with a spin of his dish wheel. The chefs are challenged to make do with what they have, hoping they have what it takes to shop Flavortown for up to $20,000.

Premiering Sunday, February 18th at 8pm – “Five-Star Showdown”
Guy Fieri transforms Flavortown into a high-end restaurant and invites four chefs for three rounds of 5-star cooking. First, Guy challenges the chefs to elevate the ingredients in a frozen TV dinner, and in round two, he asks them to make their signature dish on less than $20 each. Finally, the competition heats up when Guy asks for a 5-Star Flambe, though he closes down some essential aisles during their shop, and the judges decide which elegant dish is worth a $20,000 shopping spree.

Premiering Wednesday, February 21st at 9pm – “Budget War”
Penny pinching is the name of the game as Guy Fieri challenges four chefs to budget wisely with $40 and two grueling rounds of shopping and cooking. First, he asks them to make a guilty pleasure dish, and then they must use whatever money they have left to purchase enough ingredients to make an elevated hometown classic. In the end, only one chef will successfully turn $40 into a shot at $20,000

Premiering Sunday, February 25th at 8pm – “Frozen Food Fight”
Flavortown has frozen over! Guy Fieri puts four talented chefs through three rounds of shopping and cooking from the frozen foods section. First, he asks for a meat and potatoes dish. Then, in round two, he asks them to make their best lobster dish but throws them a curve ball with an Ice Block Challenge that puts their hopes of winning on ice. Finally, in the final round, the remaining chefs must make an international dinner by bowling for ingredients with a frozen turkey. In the end, only one chef will ice out the competition and shop Flavortown for up to $20,000.

Premiering Wednesday, February 28th at 9pm – “Noodle Games”
Guy Fieri challenges four chefs to use their noodles to outwit his challenges in three rounds of games. First, they have to make their signature noodle dish using limited ingredients. Then, they must make a classic noodle dish featuring a Wild Card ingredient. Finally, the chefs have to use a list of mandatory items to make their refined noodle dish, and the winner gets a shot at $20,000.

Kids Baking Championship

Premiering Monday, February 5th at 9pm – “Unicornucopia”
Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli challenge the bakers to create a unique two-layer unicorn cake that illustrates a specific emotion. The one who does not take the cake will gallop home.

Premiering Monday, February 12th at 9pm – “Lunchbox Imposters”
With only 6 bakers left Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman test their skills with lunchbox imposters, where they must make a dessert that looks like a common lunchbox food item, and they must also create a side dish to go along with it.

Premiering Monday, February 19th at 9pm – “Out of This World”
Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli ask the bakers to make something out of this world – an intergalactic dessert! Since astronauts eat freeze dried foods, the bakers must also use freeze dried ingredients. They must also make an edible sun to go with their galaxy dessert. One baker’s dessert will not be stellar and will be sent home.

Premiering Monday, February 26th at 9pm – “Sand Castle Sweets”
With spring break just around the corner, Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman are dreaming about their beach vacations. They ask the remaining bakers to face the sandcastle sweets challenge and create a cereal treat sandcastle filled with two different baked goods to earn their place in the finale.

Ridiculous Cakes – Premiering Mondays at 10pm

The blood, sweat and tears that go into these mind-boggling creations will be on full display as different cake stories unfold across America.

Worst Cooks in America

Premiering Sunday, February 4th at 10pm – “Leftovers Again?” – SPECIAL TIME!
The recruits are halfway through boot camp and learn what to do with all the leftovers they are sure to have now that they have gained some culinary skills. The recruits play a taste and describe game, “What’s in My Mouth – Leftover Edition” and create new dishes from common leftover ingredients. For the main dish challenge, Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence leave the recruits alone in boot camp for the first time and ask them to make pizza from scratch. During the blind taste test, some pizzas impress the Chefs, while others leave them calling for the delivery guy.

Premiering Sunday, February 11th at 9pm – “Sweets for My Sweetie” – VALENTINE’S DAY EPISODE!
It’s Valentine’s Day and love is in the air at boot camp. A prancing cupid finds his way into the kitchen and the recruits learn how to make sweets for their sweeties. First, the recruits have to test their ability to whip cream – over their Chef’s head- and create molten chocolate cakes. For the main dish challenge, the recruits have to make a swoon-worthy multi-component dessert to win over Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence’s affection. In the end, the romance will be over for two of them and the Chefs will each have to break up with one of their recruits.

Premiering Sunday, February 18th at 9pm – “Sausage Party”
Each team is given a scrambled recipe and the recruits have to work together to figure out the correct order and make the recipe. The Chefs tell the recruits they are being left alone in boot camp, but unbeknownst to them, Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence secretly watch their every move over CCTV. For the main dish challenge, the recruits learn the truth of sausage making. The tasting will be a potluck dinner, so the recruits must make sausages that impress both the Chefs and their fellow recruits or risk being eliminated.

Premiering Sunday, February 25th at 9pm – “Can You Pleas Pas-Ta Sauce?”
The remaining recruits are put to the test by playing “Remote Control Chef,” in which they must taste a dish put in front of them and describe it to Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence to recreate. For the main dish challenge the recruits tackle their most difficult task yet, making fresh pasta from scratch. The recruits have the guidance of two very special guests to help them with their cooking, Italian nonnas with years of pasta making experience. The top recruits earn a spot in the semi-finals next week.

Giada Entertains

Premiering Sunday, February 4th at 11am – “Pizza and Pasta Party”
Giada De Laurentiis invites friends over for a Friday night pizza and pasta party. Giada’s menu features her favorite Cheesy Lemon Pizza and Sausage and Eggplant Fusilli. She lightens things up with Grilled Radicchio with Ricotta Salata, and she sets up a build-your-own-pizza bar in the kitchen.

Premiering Sunday, February 11th at 11am – “Valentine’s Day Cookout” – VALENTINE’S DAY EPISODE!
Giada De Laurentiis invites a few couples over to celebrate Valentine’s Day around a cozy outdoor fire pit. Gourmet S’mores are on the menu, along with a Spice and Smoke Cocktail, Cocoa Rubbed Flank Steak Sandwiches, Orange Grilled Shrimp with Cocoa Nib Gremolata and a Strawberry Salad.

Premiering Sunday, February 18th at 11am – “Giada’s Midnight Jam”
Giada De Laurentiis invites friends over on a Friday night to hang out, watch movies and enjoy breakfast for dinner. Her guests arrive in comfy sweats and pajamas to enjoy her menu of Smoked Trout Frittata, Sausage and Parmesan Waffles, Honey Nut Panna Cotta and a Goodnight Mary Bar.

Premiering Sunday, February 25th at 11am – “Cocktails and Comfort”
Giada De Laurentiis throws a cocktail party that features mini-bite appetizers of favorite comfort foods. Her menu includes BLT Bites, Crispy Salami and Cheese Egg Rolls, Chocolate Hazelnut Madeleines and Bourbon Milk.

Ree Drummond is speeding things up by giving her favorite comfort food recipes the 16-minute treatment. She starts with a Deconstructed Chicken Pot Pie for her daughter, Paige, and whips up Speedy Shrimp and Grits in no time for dinner with her best friend, Hy. Then Ree runs a time test on her Snappy Stroganoff and wraps up with quick Classic Tuna Melts for lunch.

Premiering Saturday, February 3rd at 10:30am – “Healthy Kickstart”
After years on tour with husband Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood is looking forward to settling back into a routine. Always on the search for a fun workout, Trisha invites her friend, Natalie, to check out the hippest new workout — goat yoga! Later, they head back to the kitchen to cook a well-deserved lunch that includes Baked Green Bean Fries, Garlicky Shrimp in Crispy Tortilla Cups and a Goddess Brown Rice Bowl. Over Crustless Apple Pie with Granola Frozen Yogurt, they also reminisce about their day and other crazy workouts they’ve done in the past.

Premiering Saturday, February 10th at 10:30am – “Friends and Chocolate” – VALENTINE’S DAY EPISODE!
Trisha Yearwood invites the ladies over for a girls’ lunch. The menu includes Linguine with Braised Red Wine Short Rib Sauce, Marinated Roasted Portobellos, Chocolate Cherry Martinis and Classic Molten Chocolate Cake with Cassis Berries. With cocktails in hand, Trisha then surprises the girls with a mobile nail spa.

After a trip to Nashville’s largest flea market evoked some nostalgic vibes, Trisha Yearwood and her sister, Beth, decide to take another walk down memory lane and reminisce about their favorite family comfort food recipes from the shoebox. Their menu includes Yearwood family classics such as Buttermilk Rolls, Creamed Spinach Casserole, Oven BBQ Chicken and Hundred Dollar Cupcakes with Caramel Icing.

Valerie’s Home Cooking

Premiering Saturday, February 3rd at 12pm – “Surf’s Up”
Valerie Bertinelli has always loved vacationing in Hawaii, where she enjoys the food, relaxed atmosphere and opportunities to surf! She’s bringing the aloha vibe home with a Hawaiian-inspired feast for her husband, Tom, and his brother’s family. Her menu includes Pineapple Salsa with Taro Chips, a Poke Bar and Roasted Pork Sliders. Valerie also puts her spin on the Mai Tai and makes Chocolate Macadamia Candy for dessert.

Premiering Saturday, February 10th at 12pm – “Gal-Entine’s Day” – VALENTINE’S DAY EPISODE!
Valerie Bertinelli is showing her love and appreciation for her best girlfriends with a treat-filled luncheon a few days before Valentine’s Day. Her special menu includes Green Pea Arancini with Herby Lemon Dipping Sauce followed by a Whole Roasted Side of Salmon and Escarole Salad with Roasted Meyer Lemon Vinaigrette. For dessert, a Citrus Pavlova is the perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Premiering Saturday, February 17th at 12pm – “Spicy Mud’s New Orleans Favorites”
Valerie Bertinelli discovered some of her now-favorite foods while visiting her brother, Patrick, in Louisiana. So she’s treating Patrick and his wife to some traditional New Orleans flavors, made her way. On the menu are Muffaletta Bruschetta, Quick Rotisserie Chicken Gumbo and Braised Mustard Greens. For dessert, Valerie makes a traditional New Orleans favorite with a twist, King Cake.

Premiering Saturday, February 24th at 12pm – “Why Did The Chicken Cross the Road?”
Valerie Bertinelli challenges herself to use every part of the chicken in a delicious and creative menu, just as her mother and Nonnie used to do as part of their belief that nothing should go to waste. Food Network’s Hannah Hart joins Valerie to enjoy the benefits of her chicken challenge. On the menu are Chicken Liver Pate with Red Onion Jam, Un-Fried Chicken, Chicken Broth Braised Turnips with Homemade Chicken Stock, an Arugula and Shaved Mushroom Salad and, for dessert, Chewy Schmaltz Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.
