Tonight at 10pm ET on the Food Network is the Cutthroat Kitchen: Evilicious finale where the winner will take home up to $50,000 in cash.  Matthew Grunwald was the winner of Heat 1, Sammy Monsour was the winner of Heat 2, Jenard Wells was the winner of Heat 3, and Yaku Moton-Spruill was the winner of Heat 4.  They will now face off against each other for the grand prize and will have to face challenges such as making meatballs in a ball pit, dinner on a seesaw, and harvesting coconuts from a tree to make macaroons.

Whether you like Matthew Grunwald or not, be prepared to see more of him as he will be competing on the upcoming season of Food Network Star that premieres in June.

This post will be updated when the episode airs with the order of elimination and the winner of Cutthroat Kitchen: Evilicious.

The first contestant eliminated was Matthew Grunwald after he spent over $30,000 on a sabotage so someone couldn't use salt in their dish.  Jenard Wells was eliminated next due to overcooked shrimp.  In the final round, Sammy and Yaku were tasked with making macaroons. Judge Simon Majumdar decided that Sammy made the best macaroon and he won a total of $5,800.

  2. Did you all hear me whooping when Matthew was eliminated first? And he was still delusional after his elimination. I can't imagine him helming a program of his own and don't see why he was selected to be on FNS.

I am happy with Sammy's win and would have been just as happy had it been Yaku. I got the impression that beyond all the gameplaying, the two of them respected one another.

  3. A measly $5800? You might a well make it a million dollar tournament as they would spend $995,000 trying to sabotage each other!

  4. Haha, yeah the bidding was pretty ridiculous last night. I wonder if they are egged on by producers.

  5. I hope Matthew doesn't last long on FNS. Hes immature and obnoxious. I hope we see Yaku and Sammy again. I liked both of them a lot. I'll bet not too many people mess with a huge man who can smash coconuts with his bare hands. Yike!

  9. Jernard and Yaku were my favorites and I think Jernard would be a way better choice than Matthew for being the next Food Network star.

  10. I was kind of glad in the long run that Dancing Tom didn't make the finals. I needed at least one chef to hate, and Matthew filled the bill nicely.

  11. 30k to keep one person from using added salt was the worst bid ever. He could still use salty ingredients.
