"I have never ever been romantically involved with John Mayer. I met him twice at least 5 or 6 years ago at public events along with hundreds of other people. The small amount of face time with John was in rooms filled with other attendees at these events. I have not seen or even heard from him since. The allegation of an affair was a fabrication back in 2010 and remains so today.....My long-time friendships with my co-workers Matt Lauer and Bobby Flay are exactly that — long-time friendships. There has never been a romantic relationship with these two men."Matt Lauer also denied any relationship between Giada and himself and said that they are just long-time friends.
With the tabloids trying to tie Giada's co-workers/friends to the split, how come Alton Brown wasn't brought into the mix? I guess he doesn't help sell magazines, but Alton has not been wearing his wedding band lately as pointed out by a few readers of this site.
In a March 2014 article, Alton is pictured with his wife wearing his wedding band, but in all of his current photos on Instagram/Twitter, he does not have it on. Also, in the older seasons of Cutthroat Kitchen, he is wearing a wedding band, but in the most recent ones he is not.
Does this mean anything or is it even confirmed that Alton and his wife aren't together? No. But if the tabloids were trying to connect the dots by including co-workers, maybe they should have included Alton Brown in the mix.
With all due respect, Alton doesn't appear the type to land the homecoming queen. On the other hand, maybe "geek" is the new "jock"...

ReplyDeleteAnd why would you just say "with these two men?" To eliminate any shred of doubt why would you not say "with these two men or anyone else!"
ReplyDeleteI noticed that while Alton frequently talks about his daughter on his podcast, he rarely mentions his wife. That means absolutely nothing of course--plenty of happily married dads ramble on and on about their kids, but it was something that caught my attention.

ReplyDeleteI've often wondered about Giada and Alton, as well as the other references, and, from what I read, yes, Giada did meet John Mayer at a public event, but then they both left one right after another and went to another hotel where they were seen being cozy together in the bar area and she was seen existing the hotel in the wee early hours of the morning. Giada is such a flirt that I'm more prone to believe these rumors than I might normally be...and possibly and quite probably because I simply cannot stand the woman.

ReplyDeleteAlton talks too much and cooks too little. He should compete in a cooking contest.
ReplyDeleteIt's boring to watch an announcer, and he doesn't seem to do much else. Bobby Flay competes. So do others. Alton has said he can't cook fast. But with his encylopedic knowledge, he must know how long meat and veggies, etc. takes to cook, so don't tell me he couldn't time things.
What has he done lately, to show his expertise and talent? Looks to me like he's resting on past laurels. It doesn't take much to be an announcer. Put him with any other FN co-host/s and watch him try to run the whole show. Boring. Too much ego for me. Cook something. And do it without making some dorky skit more suited for the Nickelodean channel. Just my opinion.
I've always had a strong suspicion that Alton doesn't even like Giada. He always seems to have his teeth slightly gritted when they talk.

She was on Jimmy Fallon a month or so ago, and there was a guest on with her, and he made an attempt to hug her, and you would think the gentleman had the plague, because she jumped so far away from him. If you ask me she is a pig. It was speculated that she spits out food, after sampling it on her show. Who does she think she is. No princess that is for sure.

ReplyDeleteI didn't explain like I should have, sorry. I did like Ippi and agree, he seemed nice. I did think he needed some work if he were to have gone further. I just never got any kind of sex appeal like I did from Luca. That's why I wondered why Giada acted like she did.

ReplyDeleteHey Food Network - I used to like Giada but after watching the Food Network Thanksgiving special in 2013 where she was just a mess - either drunk or high on something - I turn the channel when her show comes on. I was disappointed she was going to host on the next Food Network Star again. Love that show but won't be able to watch if she is on it.
ReplyDeleteI saw Alton Brown's touring show recently in Orlando and he is NOT wearing a wedding ring. I looked it up, he filed for divorce in November!!
