Here are some Food Network related news items for your Memorial Day weekend:
- Rewrapped is casting for a second season, so I guess the show was renewed. Ratings were lower than a lot of other primetime shows that get renewed, but I guess they were good enough for a renewal.
- Robert Irvine has plans to open a restaurant in the Pentagon. Not too many details on the restaurant yet, but I would assume it will be in a food court type area.
- Giada De Laurentiis is opening her first restaurant in Las Vegas, and it will open on June 3rd. The restaurant is in The Cromwell hotel, which just recently opened, and Giada appeared at the hotel's nightclub opening event (pictured). She was also presented a key to the Strip earlier in the week.
- The New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF) announced the chefs/personalities that will appear at this year's event being held from October 16th to 19th in New York City. Pretty much every Food Network personality will be there (also Paula Deen) and tickets go on sale June 9th (presale) and June 23rd (general public).
