Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay has been renewed for an additional 26 episodes according to Variety. The show, which just debuted in March (there was also a pilot in Aug. 2013), has had good ratings in its Thursday night timeslot on the Food Network. The ratings for the Beat Bobby Flay episodes that have aired so far are as follows:
3/3/2014 - 1.067 million viewers
3/6/2014 - 1.368 million viewers
3/13/2014 - 1.234 million viewers
3/20/2014 - 1.267 million viewers
3/27/2014 - 1.288 million viewers
4/3/2014 - 1.003 million viewers
Pretty much anything over 1 million viewers ends up getting renewed by the Food Network for another season. As seasons are usually 13 episodes on the Food Network, the 26 episode renewal most likely means it is over two seasons.

Haven't watched it yet. Anyone else?
ReplyDeleteI have watched every episode so far, although I don't know why. They all seem the same.
ReplyDeleteThanks Autumn :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty good... One good thing about it is that is only a half hour, so there isn't a lot of filler of the contestants talking about what they did, etc. like Chopped/other hour long competition shows.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the input. I think I'll check it out. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrible program. Host is creepy show is dumb. Won't watch it again.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like it - actually have seen him get beaten 2x, so it is possible. It's already formulaic - Bobby getting stressed and fermished - which never happens on Iron Chef where he's creating 5 courses and not just one dish. Still it's okay.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty formulaic. Find it amusing seeing Bobby get stressed with one dish when he does 5 on Iron Chef without breaking a sweat. Of course, he has his sous chefs there, but still. It's still better than some of the other stuff on TV.
ReplyDeleteI would watch Bobby Flay read a cookbook to the camera. I find the show enjoyable. I like the banter among the contestants and judges.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand Bill Rancic, I never knew he had a lisp, it really erks me when i watch this show and his hair is awful too it looks better on his reality show
ReplyDeleteBobby the people that get the people to beat should take a blind taste test because it is not fair seriously
