Dean was born and grew up in Canada, so he does have a link to Canada. He tweeted the following to announce he was going to be the host of Chopped Canada:
Kind of random news, and we will probably never see any of these episodes in the United States, but still interesting that he was able to parlay his Rachael vs. Guy victory into a hosting gig.
Ah, now Food Network Canada fans can know the joy of 47 weekly hours of the same show.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that the only reason he was on "Celebrity Whatever Off" - to launch his career as the "Gourmet Dad"?
ReplyDeleteTed Allen he definitely ain't.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing - he got his TV show, it seems.
ReplyDeleteokay so I will admit I'm a bit confuse about Dean hosting this Canada food show ...my Question ?? is do they tape the show on Canada soil or here in the U S A ...if yes then how does that work out for his family if he claims that he's not cheating on Tori then Im guessing ??being out of the country does not help the cause...Im a huge fan of America chopped and did check out the first episode of Canada chopped and I like it well enough I'll even say that their kitchen set looks better then ours I was at least please that they had a female judge and a female won the first show
ReplyDeleteWho and why is my big question - - - Dean is not someone that I would associate with Food, therefore, is the reason why we have a non-food "celebrity" or "foodie" because "we just don't matter and won't notice"????
