Justin Warner's Rebel Eats Premieres Tonight - Finally

Justin Warner Rebel EatsThe time has finally come for Next Food Network Star winner Justin Warner's show to air on the Food Network.  His show Rebel Eats premieres tonight at 10pm EST on the Food Network with a replay at 1am EST.  The only other time it is scheduled to air right now is Saturday April 6th at 3pm, so be sure to watch it one of these times or set your DVR.

The show description from the Food Network:

"Season 8 Food Network Star winner Justin Warner is hitting the road for his new show and biggest challenge yet — finding the real culinary rebels of America. Armed with $300 for gas, a beat-up car and a nose for good food and crazy characters, Justin travels the backroads of the South to try everything from Moonshine and Bacon Beer to Deep-fried PB&J, Jellyfish Salad and bowling alley barbecue served in a mason jar."

More info from the Food Network site along with a slide show with where he visits and what he does at each location:
"In his all-new special, Rebel Eats, Justin is hitting the open road — and waters — in search of the most over-the-top eats and drinks across the South. He's tracking down fearless culinary trailblazers like himself and learning their secrets to making deep-fried PB&Js, Tennessee moonshine, bacon-scented stout and more, then joining them in the kitchen to create his own rebellious recipes. "
This is a one hour special pilot, so based on viewership and feedback, the Food Network will decide if they want to produce more episodes in the future.  Based on the feedback from an earlier post here, it sounded like a lot of you were disappointed it was a travel show.  To me, it sounds like a mix between Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (sub mini-van for convertible), Throwdown (minus the competition part), and the traveling budget shows ($24 in 24 and $40 a Day).

I am curious to your opinion on the show.  Excited to see it, or has the long wait diminished your excitement?  Also, after watching it, leave your opinion on what you though about Rebel Eats in the comments section.
